We Love Men: Let’s Get You Healthier!

We are practically doing backflips for men this month! June programming is one big welcome mat rolled out and intended to make it so easy to get started in Pilates. The payout for the smart men who take advantage of the June welcoming events? New body awareness, less pain, better sports performance, less stress, more fun, new friends and on, and on.

Men, help us change the dominant tough guy culture and make taking care of yourself MANLY. Let’s start by checking out how to prevent the leading cause of death, cardiovascular disease, starting with developing atherosclerosis earlier than women.  Where do you (or your man) stand on the preventative checklist?

*Get your cholesterol checked, beginning at age 25 and every five years.

           *Control your blood pressure and cholesterol, if they’re high.

           *If you smoke, stop.

           *Eat more fruits and vegetables and less saturated or trans fats.

 and of course our favorite…

           *Increase your physical activity level to 30 minutes per day, most days of the week.

 

SO… let’s band together—men, and those of you who love them—to get started at The SweatShop. Here’s how:

Sunday Yoga:

75 minutes at 10 am with Chris Hannon. Chris is an amazing man, professional dancer and a yogi. Beginning Sundays in June, Chris will teach his exquisite brand of Yoga and every- one, all levels of experience, will be welcomed…how fun for men to have a man teaching yoga

Solve the Mystery That Is Pilates Reformer!

The Reformer Ready intro class will focus on men this month on Sundays at 10 am June 10 & 24. This 45-minute session is 40 minutes of learning the moves and your capabilities
