Our Heart Project is dedicated to insuring your cardio work is really just that—effective cardio work for your heart.
In this 4-session group training you will learn:
*How to use a HR Monitor correctly and effectively
*How to recognize and monitor workout intensity through Perceived Exertion
*Your individual 5 Heart Rate zones
*How to use this information to exercise efficiently and become metabolically fit
Each 55-minute session builds upon the last, increasing your knowledge and awareness of what effective cardio work feels like. Participants are amazed at the what they learn about how their heart works at rest and under stress. For many, it is the first time to really “listen” to their body with many “aha” moments. This group training is customized for each participant and members will receive individual numbers and information that will work to “turn you into a better butter burner when exercising,” says Sandy Rusch, Director of Personal Training. The SweatShop will provide you with a Polar Heart Rate Monitor for 30 days or you may purchase one at cost.
