This introductory 2-hour lecture-based workshop followed by a practical application class will teach you some basic facts about fascia and how it relates to overall health, wellness and MOVEMENT.
You will learn foundational terminology and principle concepts along with gaining a more dynamic visual understanding of fascia. You will walk away with practical information and skills to begin using immediately with your clients and it will prep you for more intensive Fascia coursework, which will be offered @ SweatShop in 2017.

The purpose of this seminar is to learn tips and tricks about how to properly use an omni-directional foam roller. In recent years, the foam roller has become an essential training/recovery tool for athletes and is widely used for rehabilitation purposes. The foam roller is an essential tool for injury prevention. However, using a roller is not as simple as just getting on it and rolling. Technique is key and in this seminar you will learn everything you need to know to get the most out of your rolling experience.

TRX Suspension Training Course (May 20, 2018; 9:00am – 5:00pm)
With the versatility of TRX Suspension Training® you’ll have a portable fitness solution to train clients in any setting. You’ll learn how to properly perform and cue foundational Suspension Training exercises as well as the benefits and target muscles of the exercises. Learn modifications and progressions to adapt the exercises to every fitness level. No prerequisites required.
Upon completion of this course you will be able to: Properly perform a variety of Suspension Training exercises; Progress and regress exercises for all fitness levels; Adjust resistance and stability for all exercises; Cue and correct common faults; Correctly set up and use the TRX Suspension Trainer.
TRX Functional Training Course (October 21, 2018; 9:00am-5:00pm)
Participants will learn to how to leverage TRX’s movement based training approach on the TRX Suspension Trainer and Rip Trainer to teach Foundational Movements and progressions and then apply to a variety of training equipment. Beyond Suspension Training and Rip Training, these other modalities may include: Kettlebells, Medicine Balls, DVRT Ultimate Sandbags, Battling Ropes and Bands.
Upon completion of this course you will be able to: Apply foundational movement methodology on the TRX Suspension Trainer and TRX Rip Trainer to better modify intensity for a variety of modalities; Integrate advanced TRX coaching and cueing techniques; Lead pre-programmed, multimodality, circuit-based training workouts.
Upon completion of a TRX® Functional Training Course, graduates will receive CECs from the following organizations: ACE 0.7, AFAA 7.0, canfitpro 4.0, NASM 0.7, NSCA 0.7, PTA Global 8.0.

16 hours of functional anatomy from a fitness foundation perspective, this is a great course to learn the basics or review for an exam. With the use of charts and skeletons, this workshop will review basic biomechanics and anatomical terms as well as skeletal and muscular anatomy. Simple and complex exercises will be examined noting levers, resistant forces from gravity or springs and muscular action.
Kettlebell is a great addition to your Pilates or Personal Training repertoire. This 10-hour workshop is geared towards Pilates and Personal Trainers who have had limited experience with this new exciting mode of training. Course will be very practical in nature, dress to work out.
